Geologist
Experience:
Our ideal candidate will have (or will be completing) a Masters degree in geology with particular interest and strength in sedimentology, stratigraphy, and modeling of depositional environments. Strong understanding of structural geology and basin development are also required. The available position requires mobility and flexibility to accommodate our clients’ need for formation image interpretation in the shortest possible time frame to complete and stimulate wells, sidetrack wells, and to define new drilling locations. The job will require representation of Fronterra at technical meetings with our clients and other professional groups. Candidate should be familiar with the wireline industry as well as, most wireline instruments and applications. Must be able to work independently within a small team environment, where your skills and initiative will be of paramount importance in maintaining the high standards and reputation of our group. Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Education:
Masters Degree in Geology or related field
Skills:
Strong verbal and written skills are a must as client interaction is frequent and key to Fronterra’s success. Experience with Terrastation (or equivalent borehole image software) a plus. Mapping and correlation software experience also a plus.
