Petrophysicist (Entry Level)
Experience:
Our ideal candidate will have a masters degree in geology, engineering, physics, petrophysics or a related discipline. Two + years of wire line logging or related experience a must. Individuals with a bachelors degree working (or desiring to work) towards a masters degree will also be considered. Strength in sedimentology, stratigraphy, modeling of depositional environments, structural geology or basin development a plus. Experience working or consulting for exploration and production companies is a plus. The available position requires mobility and flexibility to accommodate our clients’ need for integrated interpretation in the shortest possible time frame to complete and stimulate wells, sidetrack wells, and to define new drilling locations. Job will require representation of Fronterra at technical meetings with our clients and other professional groups. Must be able to work independently within a small team environment, where your skills and initiative will be of paramount importance in maintaining the high standards and reputation of our group. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Education:
Masters Degree in Geology or related field
Skills:
Strong verbal and written skills are a must as client interaction is frequent and key to Fronterra’s success. Experience with Terrastation a plus. Mapping and correlation software experience also a plus.
