Production Engineer Technical Leader – Argentina

We seek an experienced production engineer for a one-year assignment in Neuquén, Argentina. We require in excess of 15 years of experience in the areas of production engineering with participation on integrated reservoir studies. Position responsibilities require technical leadership and adherence to best practice guidelines for executing production engineering projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to customer’s production engineering projects
  • Manage project processes to assure timely quality results
  • Deliver high-value results beyond client expectations
  • Evaluate well performance, recommend completion scenarios
  • Design fracture/acidizing treatments; calculate required flow rates to account for pressure losses and velocity constraints
  • Develop reservoir production forecasts and recommend production optimization scenarios
  • Perform economics project evaluation

Education and Experience

  • M.Sc. or higher in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline – Higher degree is a plus
  • Experience with integrated reservoir studies with emphasis in reservoir and completion engineering
  • Specialties should include wellbore performance, well deliverability, completion technologies, artificial lifting methods, well test analysis, fracturing and acidizing treatments, petrophysical and fluid properties data analysis.
  • Knowledge of Spanish preferable
