Reservoir Simulation Engineer Technical Leader – Argentina

We seek an experienced reservoir engineer with reservoir simulation experience for a one-year assignment in Neuquén, Argentina. We require in excess of 15 years of experience with several years of compositional reservoir simulation experience and integrated reservoir studies. Position responsibilities require technical leadership and adherence to best practice guidelines for executing reservoir simulation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to customer’s simulation projects
  • Manage project processes to assure timely quality results
  • Deliver high-value results beyond client expectations
  • Build dynamic reservoir models using geologic and petrophysical descriptions, fluid properties, well test and production data
  • Develop reservoir production forecasts and recommend production optimization scenarios

Education and Experience

  • M.Sc. or higher in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline – Higher degree is a plus
  • Experience in integrated reservoir studies with emphasis in compositional reservoir simulation and recovery optimization
  • Specialties include reservoir simulation, compositional simulation, gas condensate reservoirs, petrophysical and fluid properties data analysis, well test analysis with emphasis on reservoir pressure transient analysis
  • Knowledge of Spanish preferable
