Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading geoscience teams through integrated field studies.
Understands all aspects of field development from geological interpretation and analysis to presenting data, and delivering reports to clients either individually or as part of a geological or multidisciplinary project team. Collaborates and advices on projects with customers, and maintains close relationships with key clients as project manager. Works closely with other disciplines in the development of new services and applications as well as integrated multidisciplinary studies. Supports the business development team in identifying potential new customers. Authorizes technical papers. Develops and delivers presentations and training courses to staff and customer. Mentors and coaches entry and senior geologists. Maintains an active role in appropriate industry organizations.

Skill Requirements:
Applicant must be a team player who is proficient in managing projects and an expert in understanding of sedimentology, stratigraphy, borehole image analysis and interpretation, fracture system characterization, petroleum geology, geological mapping and interpretation and subsurface mapping techniques. Excellent verbal and written presentation skills for delivering customer reports and presentations as well as facilitating customer and staff training a must. Experience with Terrastation (Terrasciences) and PETRA (HIS) software a plus. A clear and logical thinker with expert level knowledge within the discipline and the ability to communicate and cooperate at a strategic planning level with team members and other disciplines. We are looking for a motivated, flexible and enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude and high quality interpersonal skills.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience or related Earth Science discipline plus 15+ years experience or M.Sc. with 13+ years experience or PhD with 11+ years experience.

Knowledge of Spanish a plus, but not required.
